Do or Die (fingers crossed), 2026
Oak, car lacquer, resin
75 x 75 cm | 30 x 30 in
Chance versus control; hard work versus luck. Sports are a site of virtuosity — discipline propels you forward, commitment pays off. We’re taught to believe the same is true in the work environment. But what if your job is just another gamble? And the companies that say “we’re Team Humanity” are here to replace you?
Ach, wie gut, dass niemand weiss, 2026

Cellulose layers are cast on corten steel with pigmented earth and binder. The resulting form is sanded and polished on the corrugated metal, removed, and fastened with ratchet straps. The pieces investigate ways of seeing and deception.

Hexagonal stainless steel nuts, fashion catalogues, gift wrapping paper, handwritten notes, flour, water, diatomaceous earth on cardboard
100 x 110 x 30 cm | 39 x 43 x 12 in
Found cardboard is bent into industrial forms, and layers of pigmented earth are added to represent different mediums of medical imaging. Archival photography and metal hardware (”mothers” in German) are added to speak to my relationship with my mother, who recently passed away. The title reflects the total number of nuts (mothers) on each artwork, and the total number of all nuts on all artworks exhibited.

Wood, Red Food Dye
75 x 100 cm | 30 x 39 in
Found shipping crate is sanded down into bone-like forms. Red food dye is used to stain the wood. International logistics is the backbone of capitalism, shipping crates are the ribs upon which shipping rides, and wood-derived cellulose heralded the invention of self-serve grocers, enabled centralised, industrial farming, and necessitated the invention of food dye.
